Jerry Hoffer
Mr. Hoffer has been an attorney since 1991. Divorce and Family Law are the bulk of Mr. Hoffer's caseload. After working with several other attorneys after law school, Mr. Hoffer opened his own office on North Ocoee Street in the Spring of 1996.
In the nearly twenty-two years of practice, Mr. Hoffer has handled thousands of divorces, custody, child support and juvenile cases. He has also tried several civil and criminal jury trials over the years representing clients facing rape, murder, DUI, and attempted murder charges. Mr. Hoffer has also practiced in the Court of Appeals and has maintained a membership with the Bradley County Bar Association since 1991. He is also a member of the Tennessee Bar Association.
In 2001, the Tennessee Supreme Court certified Mr. Hoffer as a Rule 31 Family Mediator. Since then, hundreds of attorneys and individuals from Bradley, Hamilton, Meigs, Knox, and McMinn, and Rhea Counties have hired Mr. Hoffer to act as a mediator in order to facilitate agreements in divorce, custody or other family law cases.
Mr. Hoffer is married to his wife Lisa and together they have raised four girls. They welcomed their first grandchild Graham in June of 2012.
Janie Browder
Ms. Browder has worked with Mr. Hoffer since January of 2007. In all, Ms. Browder has been a paralegal for nearly sixteen years. Her wealth of experience and her willingness to help has made her an invaluable asset to all of Mr. Hoffer's clients.
Josh Wheeler
Josh Wheeler is Mr. Hoffer's assistant and has been with the office since 2010. Mr. Wheeler speaks fluent Thai and first met Mr. Hoffer when he was hired to be an interpreter for a non English speaking client. Josh has become a valuable asset to the office.
Lisa Hoffer
Lisa Hoffer has worked in the legal field since 1993. Mrs. Hoffer is extremely experienced and adept at assisting clients with the creation of parenting plans. In addition, Mrs. Hoffer has assisted numerous attorneys in Cleveland as a jury consultant. Mr. Hoffer swears by her as an assistant in the preparation and picking of a jury for all of his jury trials.
